Why Obama wants the US to fail this instant

Dick Morris, a former adviser to Bill Clinton and Trent Lott wrote an article about why Barack is speaking of doom and gloom and why the markets hate listening to him speak. "And then there is the matter of blame. The deeper the mess goes — and the further down his rhetoric drives it — the more imperative it becomes to lay off the blame on Bush. He must perpetually “discover” — to his shock — how deep the crisis that he inherited runs, stoking global fears in the process.

So, having inherited a recession, his words are creating a depression. He entered office amid a disaster and he is transforming it into a catastrophe, all to pass every last bit of government spending and move us a bit further to the left before his political capital dwindles.

But the jig will be up soon. The crash of the stock market in the days since he took power (indeed, from the moment he won the election) can increasingly be attributed to his own failure to lead us in the right direction, his failed policies in addressing the recession and his own spreading of panic and fear. The market collapse makes it evident that it is Obama who is the problem, where he should, instead, be the solution."

Senator Dodd's Interview regarding receiving a (bribe) sweet deal on his mortgage from Countrywide.

What do the Post Office, the Senate and Congress Have in Common?

They are all government agencies who lose money each year, but receive raises and bonuses while they talk down privately owned companies.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/feb/23/congress-will-investigate-postmasters-pay/

There has also been a story out recently about the amount of flying that politicians are doing on private jets with our money. The congress and senate are pushing their green initiatives by taking private jets everywhere they go. Not only is this ironic based on pretend green concerns and the cost of flying privately, but it is also maddening since they are so fiercely attacking private companies for doing the same things. Do all government agencies just think we are stupid?

Al Sharpton, is your job to create racism where none exists? IT PAYS WELL!

Is Al Sharpton the worst kind of bully? This article tells the story of fearful companies giving loads of money to Al so he won't organize a race protest. Are you prostituting your own beloved black man so you can make a buck. It seems like it. Unfortunately for black people, most can't see past others skin color. Maybe it is time you start looking inside the black community for the racists.

Wall Street Traders Revolt about Obama's Bailout

Watch the link. Common Sense Thinking! What most people think but don't say out loud!

So, It Begins! Police Officer Seizes Anti-Obama Sign

Secret Service show up at man's house after apology from the police for unlawfully confiscating his Anti-Obama sign. Sign says "Abort Obama Not the Unborn". And where were the police and Secret Service when death threats were pouring in to George Bush. It is amazing that this administration is shoving policies down our throat and bullying people into their line of thinking.
It is unfortunate. Next, Filters on the internet will be put in place to block anti Obama messages. Free thought will put you in the hands of the goon squad, which Obama hopes to have in place.

Remember the hanging of Sara Palin and burning John McCain in effigy. Those were OK because freedom is one sided. Be a mindless liberal and have the unused opportunity to think.

Next history will be re-written and next will come 1984.

North Dakota House Passes Bill Banning Abortion

THERE IS HOPE FOR REASONABLY MINDED PEOPLE.

Roe v Wade said that the problem lies in the question: When do you give rights to an unborn child? This bill sets the time at conception, giving unborn children the same rights as born children. Effectively, they have made it a crime to murder an unborn child.

Homeowners Take A Stand

Yes, CNBC. Thank you for making us feel better about being a dishonest nation. Now we can all rally around each other while we cheat our way out of paying for a home. The Articles Title is Homeowners Take a Stand. The title should be Dishonest Americans Cheat Banks.

Are we proud of what we are excited about. We now have a great way to avoid foreclosure. It's not the traditional idea of paying what you agreed to or face foreclosure. It is a new idea. A grand idea. Throw any road block in the way of the bank to stall foreclosure proceedings, not because you want time to bring the mortgage current, but because you want to live for free off of an eventual bailout by your next door neighbor (the taxpayer).

Why are we proud of being dishonest? Who we are as individuals creates who we are as a nation.

Self-Reliance

President Marion G. Romney gave a talk titled, The Celestial Nature of Self-Reliance (This article can be found in the March 2009 edition of the Ensign). In this talk he tells a story he clipped from a Reader's Digest.

"I clipped the following article from the Reader's Digest some time ago. It reads: In our friendly neighbor city of St. Augustine great flocks of sea gulls are starving amid plenty. Fishing is still good, but the gulls don't know how to fish. For generations they have depended on the shrimp fleet to toss the scraps from the nets. Now the fleet has moved. . .

"The shrimpers had created a Welfare State for the. . . sea gulls. The big birds never bothered to learn how to fish for themselves and they never taught their children to fish. Instead they led their little ones to the shrimp nets.

"Now the sea gulls, the fine free birds that almost symbolize liberty itself, are starving to death because they gave in to the 'something for nothing' lure! They sacrificed their independence for a handout.

"A lot of people are like that, too. They see nothing wrong in picking delectable scraps from the tax nets of the U.S. Government's 'shrimp fleet.' But what will happen when the Government runs out of goods? What about our children of generations to come?

"Let's not be gullible gulls. We . . . must preserve our talents of self-sufficiency, our genius for creating things for ourselves, our sense of thrift and our true love of independence.

"The practice of coveting and receiving unearned benefits has now become so fixed in our society that even men of wealth, possessing the means to produce more wealth, are expecting the government to guarantee them a profit. Elections often turn on what the candidates promise to do for voters from government funds. This practice, if universally accepted and implemented in any society, will make slaves of its citizens."

Did all you hoping to gain from the recent bail-outs get that? Government handouts will turn you into a slave!!! This is spoken by a prophet of God. He saw our day and spoke about it in 1982. Prophets can see the future and he warned us about government hand-outs 27 years ago. If he got that right then maybe we should listen to him about what bail-outs (government handouts) will do to us! Prophets talking about profits. I love it.

We the people must take responsibility for our actions. We voted ourselves benefits we cannot afford. Now we must vote for those that will take them away. We need to provide for ourselves and get the power hungry government out of our lives. In the March 2009 Ensign Elder M. Russell Ballard quotes the Church Handbook of Instructions in his essay titled Becoming Self-Reliant Spiritually and Physically. "The Savior has commanded the Church and its members to be self-reliant and independent. . . To become self-reliant, a person must work. Work is physical, mental, or spiritual effort. It is basic source of happiness, self-worth, and prosperity. Through work, people accomplish many good things in their lives . . ."

Just say no to the government dole!

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

While reading the American Recovery & Reinvestment act of 2009 I came across some items that did not sit well with me in the Health Information Technology section (making all medical records electronic by 2014).

For instance, "The term ‘enterprise integration’ means the electronic linkage of health care providers, health plans, the government, and other interested parties, to enable the electronic exchange and use of health information among all the components in the health care infrastructure in accordance with applicable law, and such term includes related application protocols and other related standards."

I do not want "enterprise integration" of my medical records to the government or other interested parties. What does other interested parties mean? Life insurance companies? Health insurance companies? Pharmaceutical companies? Are they going to be able to access this information and deny me benefits, increase by rates, or try to sell me prescription drugs? This is just too much government integration for me.

Another portion of this bill I found disturbing while reading it was this. ". . . improves the coordination of care and information among hospitals, laboratories, physician offices, and other entities through an effective infrastructure for the secure and authorized exchange of
health care information;"

There is that term other entities again. What, my doctor has to be told what to do from another entity?

There are benefits to this of course, but why is it being sold in a Recovery Act. I have not heard any politicians talk about this. Oh, that's right they have not read it, they were not given time to read it. They were told just to hurry up and vote for it so we can all be saved by the government because we are too dumb to help ourselves.

What is Obama up to?

OBAMA BURNED: GREGG WITHDRAWS AFTER POLICIES TOO MUCH TO STOMACH Thu Feb 12 2009 16:18:14 ET For Immediate Release: Thursday, February 12, 2009

Senator Gregg Statement on His Withdrawal for Consideration of U.S. Commerce Secretary Sen. Gregg stated, “I want to thank the President for nominating me to serve in his Cabinet as Secretary of Commerce. This was a great honor, and I had felt that I could bring some views and ideas that would assist him in governing during this difficult time. I especially admire his willingness to reach across the aisle. “However, it has become apparent during this process that this will not work for me as I have found that on issues such as the stimulus package and the Census there are irresolvable conflicts for me. Prior to accepting this post, we had discussed these and other potential differences, but unfortunately we did not adequately focus on these concerns. We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy. “Obviously the President requires a team that is fully supportive of all his initiatives. “I greatly admire President Obama and know our country will benefit from his leadership, but at this time I must withdraw my name from consideration for this position. “As we move forward, I expect there will be many issues and initiatives where I can and will work to assure the success of the President’s proposals. This will certainly be a goal of mine. “Kathy and I also want to specifically thank Governor Lynch and Bonnie Newman for their friendship and assistance during this period. In addition we wish to thank all the people, especially in New Hampshire, who have been so kind and generous in their supportive comments. “As a further matter of clarification, nothing about the vetting process played any role in this decision. I will continue to represent the people of New Hampshire in the United States Senate.”

Wow, Can Dems still say it is Republicans that are the Haters!

Tom Daschle (Democrat)- Can you be anymore sinister? Once Obama's nominee for Health and Human Services Department, Tom added to the bailout plan the requirement to report all medical records to a government database. I don't want the government involved in how my doctor treats me. I pay into medicare with each of my paychecks and I receive nothing for it. Nor do I want anything from it.
What's more scary is that Daschle thinks the elderly "should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them". I wonder if he'll say the same thing when he's feeling the effects of age. I'm sure he doesn't understand reality since he has worked for the government and has received government health care benefits for the last 30 years. The masses need to understand that they are going to get old, while the government leaders receive special treatment so they'll never feel old.
"He praises Europeans for being more willing to accept “hopeless diagnoses” and “forgo experimental treatments,” and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care system."
"Daschle's Goal is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs." What a thoughtful gentleman. Our medical technology under the private sector is improving to quickly and is making the government look bad.

Let us Remember True Principles

An article was published in 1968 by Ezra Taft Benson titled, The Proper Role of Government. In it he clearly states that it is not the role of government to take from one to give to another. He goes on to say that if we do, then we put ourselves on a slippery slope of government handouts and less freedom.

These comments seem needed more than ever as our government prepares yet another bailout plan. The government seems to think the bigger the bailout, the better. Let us remember this principal, DEBT IS BAD. That is what got us into this mess and when the government gets into too much debt the consequences are going to be worse than we are seeing now.

We live in a time when the State of California cannot give back overpaid taxes because it is broke. Ezra Taft Benson speaks of a state taking Federal money in his essay The Proper Role of Government published in 1968 (linked above). He stated, "I consider it a violation of the Constitution for the Federal Government to levy taxes for the support of state or local government; that no State or local government can accept funds from the Federal and remain independent in performing its functions, nor can the citizens exercise their rights of self-government under such conditions. (http://www.zionsbest.com/proper_role.html)"

Another major theme in Benson's essay is socialism. Under his heading "Things the Government Should not Do" Benson states, "A category of government activity which, today, not only requires the closest scrutiny, but which also poses a grave danger to our continued freedom, is the activity NOT within the proper sphere of government. No one has the authority to grant such powers, as welfare programs, schemes for re-distributing the wealth, and activities which coerce people into acting in accordance with a prescribed code of social planning. There is one simple test. Do I as an individual have a right to use force upon my neighbor to accomplish this goal? If I do have such a right, then I may delegate that power to my government to exercise on my behalf. If I do not have that right as an individual, then I cannot delegate it to government, and I cannot ask my government to perform the act for me. http://www.zionsbest.com/proper_role.html"

Benson then gives an example from James R. Evans, in his book, The Glorious Quest.

"Assume, for example, that we were farmers, and that we received a letter from the government telling us that we were going to get a thousand dollars this year for plowed up acreage. But rather than the normal method of collection, we were to take this letter and collect $69.71 from Bill Brown, at such and such an address, and $82.47 from Henry Jones, $59.80 from a Bill Smith, and so on down the line; that these men would make up our farm subsidy. "Neither you nor I, nor would 99 percent of the farmers, walk up and ring a man's doorbell, hold out a hand and say, 'Give me what you've earned even though I have not.' We simply wouldn't do it because we would be facing directly the violation of a moral law, 'Thou shalt not steal.' In short, we would be held accountable for our actions. (http://www.zionsbest.com/proper_role.html)"

We need to wake up and stop voting ourselves benefits we have no right to have. We need to stop allowing the government to redistribute our wealth to a ruling elite. Benson's article was published in 1968, what would he have to say now?

The New Politics

Here is a link to an article I believe tells us what the government is really up to.

The Fierce Urgency of Pork

This "bailout" is a SCAM.

This bailout will bring us up to $9.7 Trillion dollars. That is 90% of the TOTAL of the nations home mortgages.

Why is it so hard for politicians to be honest?

REMEMBER: DENY, DENY, DENY (GET CAUGHT), DOWN PLAY, DOWN PLAY, BLAME REPUBLICANS

I am usually surprised about the double standard that politicians have. Democrats fought tooth and nail over indiscretions of any republican in power. I agree that our leaders should hold higher moral standards and bigger consequences for their failings. We are putting our trust in them to lead us to a greater America. But lately, no offense democrats, the leadership we have found in our 2 week old president, has me quite disappointed. If he is for "Change" (YES WE CAN) and claiming he is for more accountability and transparency in the government, then why do we have a steady stream of non-transparent people and their crimes so soon in his presidency being asked to lead this nation.

Are the Republicans just picking on Barack, because he innocently chooses democrat leader after democrat leader that accidentally breaks the law. Why is there so many dishonest democrats in the pool for Barack to choose from for cabinet positions. This article is more written to show how republicans have seized on the tax evaders, then focusing on the acts themselves. It does go through a list of people at the end of the article.

The list so far, hopefully it won't grow for the sake of the country's morals, that have recently been exposed are:

Timothy Geithner - JOB: Treasury Secretary JOB DESCRIPTION: Oversees tax collection.
His CRIME: Failure to pay $34,000 in taxes after signing a form stating he would, while working at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). OBAMA'S RESPONSE: "My expectation is that Tim Geithner will be confirmed."
TIMOTHY GEITHNER WAS CONFIRMED.

Nancy Killefer - JOB: Chief Performance Officer (Performance Czar) - JOB DESCRIPTION: Still fuzzy on the details. This is a new position. Over government performance and figuring out how to measure government performance. HER CRIME: Paid a household worker under the table for a year and a half. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: "The official said that the matter surfacing during the vetting that took place before her nomination was announced and the Obama team decided to move forward anyway." NANCY KILLEFER WITHDREW HER NAME.

Bill Richardson -JOB IN PRESIDENTIAL CABINET: Commerce Secretary. JOB DESCRIPTION: Make certain industry gets a voice in the way the economy is rebuilt. CURRENT JOB: New Mexico Governor. HIS CRIME: Involved in a pay to play scheme with some members of his Political Action Committee. Awarded them a lucrative transportation contract. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: Although we must move quickly to fill the void left by Governor Richardson's decision, I look forward to his future service to our country and in my administration." RICHARDSON WITHDREW.

Tom Daschle - JOB: Secretary of Health and Human Services. JOB DESCRIPTION: Get Nationalized Health Care up and running. HIS CRIME: Failing to report $80,000 in consulting income. Also, he failed to pay taxes on a perk he received, which was a round the clock limousine and driver to use. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: "I absolutely stand behind Tom." and then after the withdrawal, "I made a mistake". DASCHLE WITHDREW.

Charles Rangel - JOB: Democrat House Representative-Harlem, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. JOB DESCRIPTION: Write the tax laws. HIS CRIME: Failing to disclose over $75,000 in rental income, as well as some other New York side deals on apartments. RANGEL'S RESPONSE: I didn't understand the tax code.
DEMOCRAT RESPONSE: “The American people would be better served if Republicans would stop playing politics and allow the bipartisan ethics committee to do its job." HE HAS NOT REMOVED HIMSELF.

Hilda Solis - JOB: Labor Secretary. CRIME: 15 Outstanding tax liens on her husbands auto business. White House Response: We're not going to penalize her for her husband's mistakes.

Rod Blagojevich - Everyone knows about Rod. Governor of Illinois. Too many crimes to list. Caught on tape. HIS RESPONSE: Of Course he's innocent.

John Murtha - Follow this investigation to see where it leads. PMA is the second company with close ties to Murtha to be raided by federal agents recently. In January, agents from the FBI, the IRS and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service searched the office of Kuchera Industries and Kuchera Defense Systems, as well as the homes of the firms' founders. The companies reportedly have received over $100 million in earmarks, thanks to Murtha's efforts.

Roland Burris - Senator that was given Obama's Senate seat by Blagojevich. Roland wasn't completely honest when he said he didn't talk to Rod's team about paying for the seat.

Senator Robert Brown, D-Macon, "said he needs to pay his taxes and that he’s simply “exercising the same rules” anyone can by filing for extensions. It’s not clear whether that’s actually the case, though. Graham said state law requires people to pay their estimated taxes even if they file for an extension. And extensions merely allow you to file a tax return in October, instead of April. Brown said he is “bearing the same (tax) burden” as any Georgia taxpayer and that he will answer to the voters next year, when he’s up for re-election. “In 2010 I will stand to be judged,” he said. His colleagues may judge him sooner than that. A new rule has been proposed that would give other senators more power to take action against senators who don’t pay their taxes. Similar discussions are taking place in the House, though a rule change may not be required there."

What is wrong with these elected officials. Your smart enough to create laws and force people to live by them, but you aren't smart enough to understand the laws and live by them yourselves.

A REVOLUTION IS THE ONLY WAY TO KNOCK THESE POLITICIANS BACK DOWN TO SIZE.

Who's Next?

Even though these are all democrats, I'm sure there are Republican politicians that are criminals as well. I hope we clear out all of the unethical politicians. But keep in my mind, democrats control The House, The Senate and The President; Or should I say they control US.

---Update 4/8/2009---
I have forgotten about this post for a while. I am adding an article about Barack Obama bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia which is on video. Completely obvious that it is a bow, the white house releases a statement stating it wasn't a bow. Why choose this to add another lie to the list? They must want this to be the headline so we won't pay attention to some other crazy, unethical and unconstitutional thing Barack is doing. I wonder if it is that Timothy Geithner has said we are open to do away with the dollar in exchange for an international currency, or that we are giving Billions of dollars to the IMF.

Probably. But he must have wanted us to catch him lying to distract us. After all, he is OK with being a liar, as long as it helps him to accomplish his goal of socializing America. Then we will be powerless to stop the government.

4/9/2009---This article is about our current VP Joe "the liar" Biden. This is craziness. The man got in trouble in college for plagiarizing 5 pages of a law article and while running for president in 1988 he got caught plagiarizing a british labor party man's speeches. How is it possible that he can lie so easily? How is it possible he can remain in office? Is it because we don't care about a man's character any more? Is it only the rhetoric we care about it?

Bailout speech-GOOD WATCH

I am surprised that I enjoyed listening to this. I agree with some of the principals spoken by my fellow American who happens to be a democrat. At least the first part of her speech where she listed reasons the bail out idea was a bad idea. This is a democrat speaking out against Bush and his Bail-Out plan. I wonder if this dem believes the same thing now that one of her own is running the white house and doing a crazy bail out. Representative Marcy Kaptur D-Ohio is the speaker. This is a worth while 7:36 clip. Starts and ends with a movie clip.

Killing Babies for principle.

This is a sad article about abortion. The bizarre laws we create for ourselves to avoid responsibilities and consequences is ridiculous. Supporters of abortion enjoy using the argument that to not let them kill an unborn baby is taking women's rights away. Seriously! We buy this. How did it ever become a right to kill an unborn baby. But if this reasoning is bad, how is it now not completely offensive that women want to kill babies that have been born alive after a failed abortion attempt. If the babies are not wanted by the mother, there are thousands of traditionally married couples waiting to have the opportunity to raise a child as their own. The women have already carried the baby full term to get to this point, so to kill it after it has been born alive, can only be considered murder. As soon as the baby is born, the baby should have every right afforded every human under our constitution.

Even most abortion supporters aren't this dark. The problem is, the extremists overtake all others. Now we are left with a President who very much believes it is the right of a woman to have her baby killed even after born alive. This article describes President Obama's extremist views of abortion. I would hate to say that we have a President who is racist against his own people, but Hitler was part Jew (Obama is half white and half Kenyan). According to "The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission" abortion statistics, "black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are 2 1/2 times as likely". Maybe democrats in general are trying to get rid of minorities. They do cost the government more in social services in comparison to the taxes they pay. But that line of thinking shouldn't make sense because democrats are elected by people on welfare who want to get more welfare. But liberalism has never made sense to me.

In any case, I am saddened by the moral line that keeps shifting to the nontraditional, unnatural and inhumane side. But, oddly enough, we do protect criminals and animals from death or inhumane treatment.

A robbery with mosquitoes?

In an article posted today Bill Gates convinced a room full of people that malaria was a serious disease carried by mosquitoes that kills people. I suppose he wasn't receiving as many donations as he would like, so he then said, "there is no reason only poor people should be infected", and then released a jar full of mosquitoes into the room. The people were led to believe by Mr. Gates that he just put their lives in danger so that he would get money from them.

Does that sound like a normal charitable foundation with billions of dollars already in the bank? Not to me. It sounds like he was a robber at a bank. He wanted money, so he convinced the bank teller that their life was in danger unless the teller gave him money. Usually this type of behavior is reserved for the bad guy in a movie. Mr. Gates has enough money to take care of this issue if it really means that much to him, so why did he terrorize a room full of people to make a point? This lasted less than 5 minutes before he told the people the mosquitoes were malaria free. That is about as long as a bank robbery lasts and most of the time the robber never shows a real weapon. Why was he not arrested? A charitable foundation extorting money from people. Fear is a great motivator. It is a tool used by the unethical and power hungry.

I am sure that my tax money has been spent on controlling malaria in my own country as well as other countries. Does Bill want to force people to give to his organization because he needs money? I hope he knows that forced charity, isn't charity at all. That is a concept the government needs to learn with their social programs as well.

Once you become rich, prideful and powerful, you only do nice things so that other people will see you doing nice things. It is always funny/irritating to watch charitable organizations and celebrities spend tens of thousands of dollars on TV commercials, to convince you to give them $5 to feed a kid. It is not surprising that these organizers always make a hefty salary.

Don't get me wrong, I think fighting malaria is a just cause. But seriously, does he really need to threaten lives to get what he wants. If that were the case there would be a lot of scared politicians. Well....Maybe there are.

If you don't approve this $900B bill, you will all suffer and eventually get STDs(maybe, who knows)

Some things should make us all say, "WAIT A MINUTE"!
In follow up to the last post made by Erin, this article which came out today, contradicts traditional wisdom. If you do not pass this bill and allow us to spend near $1 Trillion on our friends and their pet projects, the economy will surely not recover and you may possibly die of hunger or global warming. Fear is a great motivator for someone who has no proof or evidence something will work. Look at Al Gore and his millions he has made for tricking us into Global Warming. The government isn't saying that this "bailout plan" is going to save the economy, and the language in the bill certainly doesn't provide any evidence it will, but they are saying that if we don't get on board we will all suffer.

Not only do they say we must approve this bill, they say it must be done right now. No more thinking about it. No more scrutinizing over the silliness of the bill's contents. Don't change the amount of money needed to stop STDs. Do it as is and do it right now. This sounds like the $700 Billion dollar bailout. It was imperative that we got it done right away, so the government said. The people said, "No" and our leaders said, "You little people are too stupid to know what is best for yourselves." The emergency bill was approved. They did nothing with the money for a couple weeks and then when it got going, they realized their plan was a failure (didn't have the intended results). So if rushing a bill for an exorbitant amount of money wasn't a good idea 3 months ago, why is it a good idea now?

This is all an experiment. Roosevelt also had many experiments he tried. The only experiment that worked for him was going to war (WWII). We are already at war, so that won't work. The Fed Chairman, Ben Bernanke, had several tools to use in situations such as these. He has used them. How long would it take to recover from many banks failing? Less time then it will take us to recover from another $1 Trillion dollars of debt, so says the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. For less than $1 Trillion dollars, you can purchase all the US Banks right now. Of course then we will start taking losses from all the bad debt these Banks have. If the banks fail, another bank will buy it for pennies on the dollar. This will continue until you have weeded out all the bad banks and the strong one's will survive. If there are no strong banks, after time there will be new banks that take their place. It will have taken less time to recover from that as it will to recover from this prostitution of our principles to an overpowered Government.

Debt is Bad

In 1974, then Elder Ezra Taft Benson gave a talk on being prepared titled Prepare Ye. In that talk he said, "It is well to remember that continued government deficits cause inflation; inflation is used as an excuse for ineffective price controls; price controls lead to shortages; artificial shortages inevitably are used as an excuse to implement rationing. When will we learn these basic economic principles?" ("Prepare Ye," Ensign, Jan. 1974, p.68).

I do not believe we have learned them yet as the government prepares and debates on how best to get us further into debt. Too much debt ruins individuals, companies, and it will ruin our country. Inflation will become a problem. It is time to stand up and take responsibility for our lives and stop voting ourselves benefits that we cannot afford! It is not the governments role to pay our mortgage or buy our gas, it is ours.

We have gone too long trying to get something for nothing and now we are realizing that it cannot be done. It is not too late. It's time communities pull together and vote government out of our lives. Let us decentralize power and take control of our futures.

The reason for this blog

A few months ago I closed my eyes to the media. I grew tired of the poor reporting of the media about politics and economics. I've always known the media is an elitist society that perfects the shading of the truth, but lately it has been way out of line. They were pedalling propaganda. Up to a few months ago I read every article I could to get a better picture of what was happening in the world and more importantly in my country. But then, I stopped reading and watching news, and even listening to talk radio. I couldn't take it anymore. The non-political economic news became a new way for the media to push political agendas. I read CNBC articles that would contradict themselves every half an hour. Why? What were they trying to show? Did they just have poor journalists? Could oil be up for the same reason it was down? Could the stock market be up for the same reason it is down and at the same time? Could weakening the dollar increase the price of oil and at the same time lower the price of oil? Maybe it is because I read too many CNBC articles. An organization who unashamedly and admittedly pushed for one political party. The propaganda was sickening. I was in overload and I shut down.

After this time of putting my head in the sand, I realized that it is my duty to know what is going on in my country. Knowledge is power. I think that it was the media's plan all along to push people to the point of not caring, so they would stop paying attention, and turn the lights out. And when that happens, the cockroaches come out and play. The people will throw up their hands and say, "I don't understand what is going on anyway, so let them do what they will". And that is what is happening. Another "bailout". We of course have been convinced that the economy can only be fixed by a government that produces nothing! And this new bailout which does nothing more than give taxpayer money to lobbyists and special interest groups, will "bail out" the economy how? Or is this a ploy to get another trillion dollars under the noses of the American people without a complaint?

There are articles written every once in a while that portray the common sense of political and economical principles, simple principles that you should be learning from your parents as a kid (Unless they are leaving it up to a school system to teach it. Kindergarten still teaches correct principles.) Articles that connect the dots. Articles that you can see the truth in. Articles that make it evident that correct principles of America are either being displayed or being betrayed. This blog is my way of cataloging the articles that keep me on my toes. So in the state of throwing my hands in the air, I can come back and remember where I can find correct principles. Their must be a reason ethics has become just a fancy word, with no meaning, used in government now. Clever and unscrupulous lawyers using legal jargon and talking out of the sides of their mouths to thwart the simple truth that God gives man freedom; Not the Government. Governments have no power, but what the people allow.

I have thought about cataloging articles in the past, but it seemed impossible to do. The massive amount of articles out there. Even the web addresses of some articles would become unavailable after a short period of time. So here I am. My friend and I will now begin to post articles and links that we find useful to keep. I believe that without "we the people" using our brains and voices to keep ourselves free, that we will fall by the hands of our own bloated government, and moral minorities.
